We are a non-governmental development cooperation organization (ONGD) that focuses its activities on offering a comprehensive response to the challenge of poverty and injustice so that all human beings can fully exercise their rights.
Objective 1: The right of people to be heard: vindicate the right to a dignified life People living in poverty and exclusion can have greater control over their lives if they exercise their right to political participation, freedom of expression and association, and access to information and justice. These are the foundations that support Oxfam's beliefs and work.
Our goal is to ensure that more women, young people and people in general who live in poverty and exclusion can exercise their civil and political rights. This will allow them to influence the decision processes that affect their own lives. To achieve this, we collaborate with government agencies and demand from governments and companies a greater responsibility in the observance of respect for people's rights
1 in 3 people in the world live in poverty. At Oxfam Intermón we are determined to change this situation, mobilizing the power of people against poverty.
We work all over the world with innovative and effective tools, so that people can get out of poverty on their own and prosper. We save lives in emergency situations and help recover livelihoods. We promote campaigns so that the voices of people in poverty can influence the decisions that affect them at the local and global level.
