Project Overview:
This project aims to Increase energy efficiency, reduced energy supply costs and use renewable energy in the existing water systems for Selected Water and Wastewater Facilities in Jordan.
We are currently seeking an experienced Planning Expert with a minimum of 7 years of experience in project scheduling, resource planning, and coordination of multidisciplinary engineering teams in water infrastructure projects to join our site supervision team in the region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, reporting delays or risks, and ensuring that the project timeline aligns with client expectations and contractual obligations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaison with the other members of the Engineering Team;
- Reporting to Team Lead;
- Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar software.
- Coordinate with project managers, design teams, and site engineers to gather inputs on deliverables and milestones.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual status.
- Analyse schedule deviations and propose corrective actions.
- Support preparation of progress reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of extension of time (EoT) claims and delay analysis reports.
- Support procurement planning and track material delivery schedules.
- Liaise with client representatives, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure that the project complies with contractual requirements and timeline commitments.
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on schedule risks and mitigation strategies.
- Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement across all aspects of the working environment and projects;
- To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves.
- Perform other such duties as may be reasonably required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of BSc degree qualified in Engineering or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in project scheduling, resource planning, and coordination of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar for planning, tracking, and reporting project progress.
- A strong ability to liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors is essential to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of milestones.
- Experienced in risk assessment, cost estimation, and procurement planning for water infrastructure projects.
- Experienced in preparing project execution plans, progress reports, and documentation for design submissions.
- Ability to prepare technical reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;
- Experience on projects funded by international financing institutions such as the World Bank an advantage.
- Competent in office packages, Microsoft, excel PowerPoint etc.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.
- Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
