Save the Children Dominicana has a strong commitment to children. The focus on human development and the Rights of the Child bases its strategy on the four principles that govern the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as on Save the Children's Theory of Change.

The 'Theory of Change' of Save the Children shows four main elements in our common identity: dedication to motivate a change for children through innovation, developing new solutions to the problems faced by children and girls; being the voice for and for them, advocating for best practices and policies so that their rights are fulfilled, listening to them, and promoting their participation in the spaces; through obtaining results at scale, supporting the effective implementation of best practices, programs and policies for children, which in turn ensure a sustainable impact on a larger scale; and the formation of alliances with other civil society organizations, communities, governments and the private sector to share knowledge and to develop the necessary capacity to ensure that the rights of children are fulfilled.

From this perspective, we work with the participation of all the people of the community, especially children, without discriminating in gender, disability, religion, sexual orientation and nationality; an approach that seeks to provide a response to their needs to ensure sustainability for the development and survival of children, taking into account the best interests of the child in each of the actions.
