ZOA Deutschland gGmbH

ZOA Deutschland gGmbH is a non-profit, Christian-oriented emergency aid organization. We work in more than 15 countries around the world with a team of around 1000 employees. These are mainly people from the disaster and conflict areas themselves. We have permanent teams in Germany (Bonn / Niederkassel) , in our head office in the Netherlands (Apeldoorn) and in the country officesof the individual project countries. Wherever possible, we work with local partners and are supported by thousands of volunteers. We also enjoy working closely with hundreds of churches, entrepreneurs, schools and donors. Together we are committed to help, hope and reconstruction in disaster and conflict areas. So that everything becomes the way it used to be. And maybe even better.

From emergency aid to reconstruction
Disasters happen unplanned. Likewise political or social conflicts. Nobody can prevent them, but many are affected. Fear and sadness often take over. We want to stand by the people in this difficult time. We are inspired by the Christian faith in our work. Because we are convinced that every life counts. And that every human being is created in the image of God. That is why our focus is on refugees and internally displaced people who have had to leave their homes due to natural disasters, political or social conflicts. After their escape, often unprotected and without property, they are particularly endangered. ZOA Germany supports them in helping them to help themselves. We provide them with essential goods such as food, Drinking water and shelter . After direct emergency aid, we concentrate on rebuilding the infrastructure, job opportunities and education .

 
ZOA Germany
ZOA Germany gGmbH was founded in Rheine on September 25, 2017 . It was registered at the Rheine District Court and recognized on December 21 by the Steinfurt Tax Office as a non-profit corporation based in Rheine. In 2018 the ZOA office moved to Bonn .

The ZOA Netherlands foundation  and ZOA Germany non-profit GmbH are programmatically linked, but different legal organizations with registrations in the Netherlands and Germany. Both organizations share the work. The ZOA Netherlands foundation implements the international program work and is responsible for international management. Meanwhile, ZOA Germany gGmbH is in contact with donors in Germany and is building relationships with institutional donors such as the Federal Foreign Office, Bengo / BMZ, the Schmitz Foundations and other foundations, companies and private donors.

The aim of both organizations is to create a better working basis for the achievement of the goals of ZOA in our program countries and thus to be able to reach more people in need. With ZOA Germany, we are also striving for cooperation or membership in development associations such as VENRO and EU-CORD.
