Chaitanya Rural Development Society CRDS

Chaitanya Rural Development Society® (CRDS) in Shivamogga is a non-profit, non-government development organization committed to improving the lives of rural people through participation and empowerment at Shivamogga District, in Karnataka state, India. It was established in the gateway of the Malenadu region of Karnataka and is registered in Dec-1996 under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1961. Chaitanya is grounded in social values for the care of the voiceless sections of the society and to serve them without any consideration of caste or creed. It acts as a catalyst and convener of social justice and development. The society aims at the upliftment and sustainable development of rural poor, empowerment of women, backward communities through education, health, environment, agriculture, horticulture, watershed development, forestry, social awareness programs, and community-based rehabilitation programs.
