About

GLOBAL AIM SOUTH SUDAN (GASS) is a registered non-governmental and nonprofit civil society organization in South Sudan. Its core motto is “Partner for Relief and Community Development.”

The organization was founded in 2010 by a group of educated, dynamic, and like-minded youth working in the development sector. Recognizing the urgent and pressing needs of the people of South Sudan, they established an organization initially named Youth Anti-AIDS Services Organization (YAASO). In 2015, the organization was rebranded as Global Aim South Sudan (GASS) to better reflect its expanded scope and mission.

With a strong presence in both emergency response and long-term development, GASS acknowledges the complex and interwoven challenges facing South Sudan. Consequently, the organization’s interventions are not confined to specific geographic locations or sectors. GASS has been actively implementing programs across multiple states in South Sudan, focusing on key areas such as Agriculture, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Education, Health, Protection, and Emergency Response & Preparedness.
