Bahar Omid Organization (BORO) is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political organization that was established in 2013 with a number of experts and was officially registered under the registration number 2924 in the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. BORO carries out activities with national and international organizations. As a national non-governmental organization, BORO is committed and dedicated to fighting poverty and eliminating the sufferings of poor communities, especially women in Afghanistan. BORO has a special focus on working with poor children and families due to their lack of access to appropriate resources and strives to build healthy communities as it helps whole families and whole communities escape the grip of poverty. And women continue to be at the heart of BORO's community-based efforts to improve basic education, prevent the spread of disease, and increase access to basic resources, develop economic opportunities, and protect natural resources.
