About
The Research and Support Group for Initiatives.
Mutualistes is a non-governmental organization under Senegalese law. Its creation responded to the need to develop expertise for the support of mutual health insurance system as
disease for the social protection of the rural world and the informal economy sector (These two sectors represent 80% of the population).
The GRAIM capitalizes on more than 20 years of experience in support of development, giving it the opportunity to structure its social project.
Based on the principles of mutualisation and decentralized cooperation, its strategy revolves around:
Citizenship training: GRAIM first bases its interventions on the training of citizens. These citizens must be able to position themselves in their context based on their own analyzes, to take charge of themselves and take charge of their problems.
The constitution of collectives: these citizens, autonomous and motivated people, can be constituted in collectives, which become bearers of the collective reflection, which take initiatives and defend the interests of their members.
Promotion of participatory regulation: collectives are mature organizations that influence regulation and participate fully in the definition and implementation of public programs and policies. The GRAIM then speaks of collective governance.
