AFRY in Germany
AFRY Germany began in 1991 when Jaakko Pöyry Deutschland GmbH was founded as part of the Finnish Pöyry Group. In the following years, other companies such as BPI Consult, Elektrowatt Energy and GKW became part of the company. In 2010, GKW, Pöyry Forest Industry and Pöyry Energy joined forces as Pöyry Deutschland GmbH. Two years later, Pöyry Infra GmbH also merged with Pöyry Deutschland GmbH. Since November 2019, the company has been operating under the new AFRY brand. In Germany, Pöyry Deutschland GmbH was renamed AFRY Deutschland GmbH in February 2020.

Today, AFRY in Germany has 550 experts in 17 locations across the country. We support our clients in the areas of Transportation, Water, Environment, Process Industries and Management Consulting.

AFRY Germany combines local presence with a global network of experts. We have more than 60 years of experience in Infrastructure planning and execute more than 3000 projects per year. With our deep sector knowledge, we support public and private business with leading solutions for generations to come.
