CARITAS Sweden

Caritas Sweden has been around for over 70 years. Our work continues with special emphasis on those who are poor and marginalized, both in our country in the world, as well as the work of our sisters and brothers who are in any way affected by conflicts or natural disasters. Everything Caritas does is inspired by the gospel of Jesus Christ, by the teaching of the Catholic Church and by the hope of people living in poverty. In Caritas, we encourage each other to speed up the rescue of humanitarian disasters, to support the development of the whole human being, and to influence governments and governments to act against what creates poverty and violence. We want to awaken Catholic churches and all the people of good will to solidarity with our suffering sisters and brothers throughout the world.
