Project Manager of International donors funded agricultural project

Location: Rome
Languages: Full proficiency in written and spoken English and French; working
knowledge of Spanish would be an asset
Work experience: Between 5 and 15 years of experience in a similar EU consulting
company
Sectors: Agriculture, Rural Development, Environment & NRM

Job description:

• Analysis of business opportunities and contribution to the proposal decision making process
• Elaboration and coordination of technical and financial proposals
• Writing and/or providing technical contributions to project methodologies and reports
• Establishing and maintaining contacts and networking with clients, partners and experts
• Management and quality control of ongoing projects
• Contribution to communication and quality management, and representation of AGT in seminars and conferences
• Short term missions and business trips in project countries

Qualifications and skills:

• Experience in business development with EU consulting companies, possibly focusing on agriculture, rural development, and environmental projects
• Experience in managing projects funded by international donors (EU, WB, ADB, etc.)
• Knowledge and understanding of the strategies of international donors
• Ability to plan, coordinate a team, monitor progress, and review experts’ contributions
• Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines

Education & Experience: Master’s degree, preferably in: Agriculture, Rural development, Environment, Development Economics, or similar.
