Médicos del Mundo Nicaragua

We have been working in Nicaragua for more than 20 years to guarantee the right to public health with quality and warmth. Currently, our activity is carried out in the department of Matagalpa, working side by side with our counterparts to guarantee respect for sexual and reproductive rights , as well as to prevent gender violence and to assist women, children and adolescents who have seen their rights violated when suffering some form of violence .

In this country we support local initiatives with a recognized record in the defense of the rights of women and children. In addition, we accompany in their work all State institutions involved in access to justice for victims of gender violence, such as the Public Ministry, the National Police, the Ministry of Health, the Institute of Legal Medicine and the Ministry of Education.
