After the destructive earthquake that hit Haiti in 2010 and the subsequent hurricanes Mathew and Andrew, Doctors of the World began to work in collaboration with other international organizations and with the International MdM Network (Argentina, Canada, France and Switzerland) in strengthening the civil society in the field of health rights, both at community and institutional level: Also in the rehabilitation of regional health infrastructure and in response to the cholera epidemic in the Palmes and Bas Artibonite regions.
