Medicos Del Mondo Guatemala

We began our work in Guatemala in 1994 with humanitarian actions to assist the returnees in Mexico, where they had fled because of the internal armed conflict. We are currently working to strengthen the public health system and promote the citizen's exercise of the human right to health .

Strengthening and improvement of Systems for Transformative Health in Chiquimula. In consortium with Action Against Hunger. Direct beneficiary population: 69,000 people. Duration: from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2019. Budget 694,306 euros.

Strengthened health care and protection of migrants and displaced persons forced by violence, reinforcing the responses of civil society in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.
