For more than 60 years, SMEC (formerly VKE Namibia), has undertaken engineering consulting and project management services in Namibia.
SMEC combines local knowledge with international expertise in Transport Infrastructure, Water, Renewables, Urban Development and Management Services. Our team is active across the Africa continent, successfully supporting projects across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies, through concept and detailed design to construction contract management and maintenance support.
SMEC is currently engaged for the project management, engineering design and construction contract management on the largest capital infrastructure project in Namibia: The construction of over 150km dual carriageway freeways around the capital city Windhoek and along the central Namibian coast between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay.
