FATXI-Gargaar

FATXI-Gargaar is a civil society organization (CSO), non-profit, and non-governmental organization, voluntary citizen’s entities formed by people in the social sphere that are separate from the state and the market united to advance the Somali community shared goals and interests.

We are task-oriented, community-based organization with a common cause and perform variety of basic services such as public health, community development, abandoned child care centers, youth and sports for peace, TVET and life skills education, human rights, counseling and psychosocial support services to the mostly affected and disadvantaged groups, bring citizens’ concerns to the government through advocacy by demanding effective public services to the relative authorities, promote, strengthen and consolidate democracy, and encourage women and youth political participation at the local and national level. Working in a fragile and conflict-ridden country, we help generate public awareness and advance advocacy around shared priorities reflecting the needs of the community particularly the most marginalized groups.
