WWF-Ecuador is a member of a global network active in more than 100 countries, and in Ecuador it was the first world organization to invest for conservation in 1962. WWF seeks to promote an integrated management of the territories, through a sustainable landscapes approach, mobilizing and articulating the actors to create a joint vision of the territory that promotes conservation, sustainable use and restoration, and that guarantees space at the same time. for economic and subsistence activities. Currently, WWF in Ecuador works on three coastal seascapes: the Eastern Pacific Ocean and the Ecuadorian coastal strip, the Gulf of Guayaquil and the Galapagos; and in three terrestrial landscapes: Central Amazon, North Amazon and Chocó Andino.
