FAO assistance in Cameroon is focused on three priority areas of work: supporting the implementation of national strategies for strong and sustainable growth in the rural sector, facilitating the country's transition to a more intensive, productive and competitive agriculture sector through the introduction of new production techniques; promoting rural employment opportunities and access to rural resources, with a focus on young people and women; developing and implementing policies and strategies to increase rural people's resilience to emergencies and crises, particularly droughts, floods, food emergencies, cross-border threats, socio-economic crisis and conflicts.
