The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is a UN-specialized body that directs global efforts to end hunger. Its mission is to achieve food security for everyone and ensure that all have constant access to sufficient high-quality food to enjoy active and healthy lives.
The FAO-Azerbaijan collaboration is based on six key areas including the expansion of women's involvement in rural organizations and income-generating initiatives for women in rural areas as a cross-cutting issue which involves assisting agriculture funding, food security, and rural development; capacity building, including agricultural education, study, and advancement; reinforcing the policy and institutional foundation for agriculture and rural development; enhancing crop, fisheries, and livestock production and ensuring sustainable, fair and productive forestry, land and water resource management.
