Description
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has been working in the Republic of Moldova on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and other German Government ministries since 1994.
Since 2014, the company’s country office has been based in the capital, Chisinau. GIZ, a German federal enterprise, works locally with some 65 national and more than 10 international staff members.
GIZ is assisting Moldova with developing its economic and democratic structures. Priority is given to the following areas:
- Sustainable economic development
- Good governance
In order to drive Moldova’s economic output, GIZ is providing the country with a range of support services, including help to improve the investment climate for local and international investors. It advises the government on reforms and assists it with dismantling administrative and technical barriers to investment by means of service improvements.
